How do I add real shoulder pads instead of emulating it

The first project I'm trying to draft is a suit, but I ran into many weakpoints using clo as pattern drafting software and so far the biggest is the lack of adding forms or sewing shoulder pads. Currently how it is implemented, how shoulderpads are made are strictly for presentation purposes and do not reflect or simulate reality. Thus making it useless for pattern drafting.

  I have used pads for my suits in the past. You can download the pads from the trims folder. Check the attached video. What do you intend to do with the pads besides add shape to the suit?
