Simulating bonded constructions

I would like to simulate bonded features on a garment - such as a bonded patch pocket or a bonded hems - different from bond and skive. In particular, I have a feature where a pattern is fully bonded to a garment underside - raising the profile of the pattern through to the outerside. 

Can anyone make any suggestions or send a link to a tutorial?

  Hi designeronethread. You can bond selected parts of patterns by adding internal closed shapes and adding Bonding there. See Here

  I have tried and it's hard to if it has the desired simulation. Here is a picture of what I am trying to achieve

  Hi designeronethread. Thank you for adding a visual. To achieve that effect you can you graphics with displacement maps. This will create the raised effect you want. Take a look HERE for a great explanation of how they work.
