How can I make this short's elastic with less wrinkles?

The lower image actually shows >more< creasing wrinkles at a smaller pitch (just to be clear) not less, so maybe you are asking how to get finer crease details at a closer pitch and higher frequency ? If so the process can be done in two ways you can simply lower your particle mesh in the fabric in that detail location (eg: by apply shirring along the waist band + mating panels for a distance out from the elasticated creasing eg: 3cm and bandwidth ) [or] you can lower the entire patterns mesh particle distance to a low value that can fold (crease) at a smaller pitch and higher frequency (more) on the triangular mesh eg: 3 - 5mm).

Note: If you use shirring you only change the mesh density locally where you need it so your poly count remains optimal during simulation, when you change the entire mesh pattern to a lower particle mesh distance value the simulation speed can greatly increase - so you need to perhaps balance this out with how you want the creasing to transition out from the waistband, artistically this can be subjective to each users preference relative to the drape quality you are trying to simulate.

Yes, that's what I wanted to say, sorry for not expressing it correctly.

I'll try it out and see if it goes well. Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying to follow the instructions but maybe I'm misuderstanding something. Could you share the .zprj file of the purple fabric so that I can analyze it? Thanks

All the information is there, you simply need to do some reading off the manual and watch a few videos to complete this. A good thing to learn how to do.
