Help making patterns of curved furniture

I'm trying to make a pattern of a 3d object (end use is library seating).

How do I use CLO to make a pattern from my custom avatar of this shape (imported .obj) as an avatar. Essentially I'm trying to flatten my 3d object in a logical way to reduce seams.

  Hi. CLO cannot "flatten" a 3D object. Though you can use the 3D Pen (Avatar) To draw shapes onto an avatar that can then flatten pattern pieces out. You can find a video showing that HERE

  We would also recommend taking at look at our Beginners Guide to CLO series as well HERE. This is a great resource to help set a strong foundation for how CLO works as what it can be used for
