"How can I insert references (notches) in 3D?"

I'm exploring ways to insert references in 3D as I'm using the 'flattening' function, and I need a method to add references or notches between the various pieces in the 3D model.

  Hi There. You can use the Notch tool to add notches to pattern pieces. You can find articles HERE and HERE

  You can also use the Walk PAttern Tool to add notches to two pieces at once. More information HERE
