Flatten Feature
I am trying to design close-fitting garments within CLO using the Flatten feature. However whenever I use this feature the garment automatically offsets itself from the surface of the avatar. What I would like to achieve is a garment that follows the contours of the avatar and remains on the surface. I would then strengthen and freeze these pieces and design the garment in between e.g. I would have one around the neck, waist and wrist. I have already set the avatar skin offset to 0 and particle distance to 3. Is there another setting I need to change or is there another approach? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Dear @rjbtsim, the approach you took is the easiest and commonly used method. If you are not so satisfied with using this approach, may I know in which part you are not so satisfied?
In addition to that, I would like to make one remark:
When you decrease the skin offset value to 0 without changing the particle distance, you will see avatar skin above the patterns. That is why you need to decrease the particle distance as well. However, once you decrease the particle distance, the program speed may reduced due to increased number of meshes. So, my suggestion is to design the garments with the default setting (skin offset: 3, particle distance: 5,) then use the Hi-Res Garment tool to improve the garment quality. When you use the Hi-Res Garment tool, it automatically reduces both skin offset and particle distance value. Please refer below articles:
