Adding drawstrings from library
Hi!
Any tips on how to add the drawstrings/cords from the library?
Thanks so much!

Hey Nancy. I've tried in the past. Once you drag-and-drop them into your project (they are garment Zpac files) click "Add" and then you can sew them or pin them to your main garment. When you simulate they will move freely.

Hi Nancy, I used them recently. They are a good starting point to achieve fast and good results simulating these details.
Some are Zpac file, some .trm file.
The differences between them are:
1 the .trm can only be glued to the garment, the Zpac must be sewed to the garment
2 you can right click on Zpac file icon and choose between the options: add to workspace or copy the path, for the trm file the right clic doesn't work, you can only double click and have them add to your project. The only thing you can choose is the position in which the trim will be uploaded from the menu that appears: original (I think is the position the trim has been saved, or reset to the 0,0 position in the 3d world space.3 the Zpac are patterns and you get the pieces also in the 2d window, this allows you to modify them if you need; the length of the strings or the height of a ribbon for example
the trims are like obj. You can scale them in the 3D window but you don't have pattern in the 2D window.
I hope this helps you to understand how to use this super useful and time-saving library.
As always the best way to learn is pratice.
Have a nice dayDaniele.

Hi sommernancyj,
Here's a pretty quick way of using the drawstrings. Pablo & Daniele are both right about the different kinds of trims and sewing/tacking your drawstings on. You can definitely go deeper and explore more finished construction, but for design/presentation purposes, this is how I usually make mine.
