Manage Trim as a style in the Object Browser.
Open/Add
-
Click the
button in the Trim tab in the Object Browser.

Import an OBJ file as a Trim, or open the Trim (TRM) file.
- Drag and Drop the Trim Style to the 3D window from the Object Browser.
Glue
- Click on the Trim in 3D window with
Select/Move tool.

Click the Glue button next to the Gizmo, then click on the desired location.
- Click the
Simulate tool.
Attach trims to desired locations by tacking them to multiple points across various patterns.
Direct Positioning
You can easily place trims on the garment without gluing.
1. Using Select/Move tool in the 3D toolbar , click
Direct Positioning next to the Gizmo.
2. Hover over the pattern and click the desired location.
Tack
You can use the Tack tool to attach trims to multiple points on the 3D garment.
1. Using Tack tool in the 3D toolbar, click on an initial point on thr trim.
2. Click on the desired point on the garment.
* Repeat the step to tack the trim to multiple points.
3. Click the Simulate tool.
📝 Note: Tack is not available on deactivated trims.
Set Properties

Set the trim style properties or options by clicking the trim style in the Object Browser.
Information Enter the information of trim Specification Scale
Scale trim with X, Y, and Z-axis.
📝 Note: You can directly scale the trim using the gizmo by clicking the
scale button next to the gizmo in 3D window.
Axis
Enter the desired value for each axis.
Lock
Aspect RatioToggle this option on to adjust a trim while maintaining its x, y, and z ratio.
Weight Set the weight of trim.
The entered value of weight is reflected in the simulation.Material Set the Material. -
Or set the trim properties individually by clicking on the trim in 3D window.
Name If each part(meshes) of the OBJ trim is composed of two or more parts, you can set the name for each part individually. Collision Set whether you turn the Collision on or off.
It only enables or disables the Collision of detached trim.Collision Thickness Set the Collision Thickness with a garment. The higher the value is, the farther the distance with a garment is in the simulation. Material Partially set the material of trim
Set Options

Right- click on the trim in the 3D window to set the options.
Select All Trims Select all trims in the 3D Window. Delete Delete selected trims. Copy/ Paste Copy and paste the selected trims. Duplicate to Symmerty Pattern Duplicate the selected trims to the symmetry pattern. Unglue The attatched trim is being detached from the Pattern. Hide Trim/Show All Trims Hide/Show all trims.
Simulate trim to achieve realistic movement and seamless, stable interaction with 3D garments.
📝 Note: Trim simulation is available only for unglued trims, which are set to Activate by default with both simulation and collision applied.
- Arrange the trim in the desired position on the 3D garment in the 3D window, then click the
Simulate tool.
- If you want to activate only collision without simulation, right-click on the trim and click the Freeze menu.
- Or, if you want to deactivate both collision and simulation, and click the Deactivate menu.
