Tools missing in Toolbar

Hi, 

I am not to sofeware and currently watching the beginner guide videos on YouTube, and I noticed I am missing few icons on my 2D tool bar, including Edit curvature, edit curve poits etc. and there is a screen shoot of it, could someone please help.

  When you see the little arrow, in the lower corner of an icon, it means there are additional tools grouped underneath.  The edit curve points tool is, grouped under the edit pattern tool, second from top left.  If you go into preferences, you can choose to have the icons without grouping, but they take up more screen space.

  jrussel is correct above. But if you have a large enough screen and you want to see all of the possible tools at once you can yo to the top of your screen choose

  Settings > User Settings > User Interface (4th down on the left side) ? Then under Mode & Toolbar uncheck Group Tools.
