Neck rib not laying flat
Hello!
I have a sweatshirt w/a rib knit at the neck and it will not lay flat. It is standing up more like a mock neck. I have tried:
- Lengthening the rib pttn piece to equal the neck line measurements
- opening up the neckline (this kind of helped on one side of the neck band...)
- adding elastic properties
I need some patternmaking + CLO expertise advice. I've attached photos of the garment & properties before I tried the above modifictions. Thanks for any help you can give!

CHECK TIPS:
Check your neckline opening without the rib is large enough around the avatars neck (that it's not too tight or too small) so it can sit flatter to the torso.
Check the sewing line type and sewing angle between the patterns is correct and that it is not set to high on strength to make it fold the neck band up. Should be a sewing type line that is 180 degrees (flat).

Try making the rib piece the same size as the neck opening (or maybe a bit smaller) so the bottom part of the rib is nice and loose fitting around the neck. Then, using the steam tool, make the top (or in my case the center) shrink a bit. Trial and error until you get what you need.

ottoline pablo.quintana Thank you both for your responses! I will try both methods to see what works best. Meanwhile, I just found out that my patterns have SA included!!!! So I will remove these and then see if I have the same issue. Argh.
