Special Drawstring Ends
Hi there,
does anybody know how to create drawstring ends like these?
The should sit super tight like shrunk onto the drawstring (irl there's a technique to do this via actually shrinking the end pieces onto the drawstring via applying heat..)
Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Yes, that has to be done in a separate 3D software and the UV map in PSD has to contain the dual color on the string. Something like this:

Thank you pablo.quintana so what 3D software would you recommend to create the 'shrunk-ends'?
Like creating it in Blender and then importing as an OBJ trim to CLO?0 -
Yup, Blender should work just fine.

Hi ycik,
thank you for submitting your question. The option, pablo.quintana described is a good solution. In addition, feel free to see below screenshots for a workflow only made in CLO:
1.) Create a little knot in CLO and export it as an OBJ under File>Export>OBJ

2.) Import the OBJ as an Avatar and create a little pattern piece to wrap it around the knot. As fabric you can choose one of the jerseys to have the physical properties of a fabric which is stretchable, delete texture and normal map in the PE and choose plastic as material type preset:

3.) For simulation take care of the following steps:
a.) Skin offset of the Knot (which you imported as avatar) to 0

b.) to create a shrunken look of the little black pattern piece play around with the shrinkage values for weft and warp. Adjust also your PD and Addt'l thickness of the pattern piece to simulate it as close as possible to the avatar

4.) Once, you're happy with the result, export everything as one OBJ. Now you can use it also as an imported trim for all future garments.
I hope, this helped. Feel free to reach out, if you have any further questions.
Best regards

Hi CLO Designers wow that's great, really good to now also have an idea how to recreate this in CLO directly!
Thanks a lot for taking the time and getting back to me on this issue.1
