Hi connorvanh, sorry you are having issues. Can you tell us about the pattern you are using? Did you import it? Create from Scratch? Use the Flattening technique? What fabric are you using? Can you send a screenshot of the pattern pieces laid out?

connorvah, 2 mm is too low if you haven't got a stable simulation. Try raising the particle distance to 10 mm, make sure your draping is working fine, and then you can start reduce the particle distance again just to improve draping.

Also, check the pattern, maybe the sleeve and armhole seams do not match. Why are you strengthening the fabrics?

I thought that strengthening it might help, but to no avail. Here's the fabric and the pattern pieces at 10 mm particle distance. It has to be something to do with the sleeves and the armholes not matching, but I'm not really sure how to achieve that. Help? xD

Hi connorvanh. Thank you for posting your images. Start by having a look at the shape of your sleeve cap as related to the image attached here. Then check the seam length of the armhole openings compared to the size of the sleeve cap seam. They don't have to match exactly in length, but they should be close.

Definitely the sleeve shape does not have the required inflexion points required for it to work correctly. In case you'd need to understand why this is the shape if a sleeve, search for what is called in geometry as cylinder intersection development. Think if the front and back pieces as one cylinder and the sleeves as being two smaller cylinders intersecting into the larger cylinder. Then you do the development to a flat surface and you will be able to better understand.
