Importing Patterns from AI
Hello,
I'm trying to import my patterns from AI to CLO but it keeps giving me the error message:

I've tried all of the help forums on adding a fill to the pieces, making sure the pieces are joined, and making sure the "Create PDF Compatible File" is checked when saving. I even tried using several AI versions.
Any tips on how to get it to work?
Thanks!
Lauren

Lauren, have you tried to saving them as PDF before importing?

Hi Pablo,
Yes I saved them as both PDF's and AI's

Can you send the files to me at pablo.quintana@forastyle.com to check them later.
One another thing you can try is to use Auto Scale.

Thanks Pablo,
I just emailed them to you!

Hi,
The same thing happens to me when I import an AI file into Clo (I have verified that the check to create compatible PDF is activated... several times).
I still use the trial version of Clo...
Can it be because of that? Or shouldn't it?
If you can help me, I'd appreciate it!
Thank you!0 -
Hi knitstudium a couple things have helped me with this issue -
1. I "Unite" each piece in illustrator just so they're all joined
2. Everything seems to have to be all on one layer in Illustrator for it to import into Clo correctly
Hope this helps!
Lauren

laurenpryor01 Thanks!!!
It was the first case, the pattern itself was not joined/closed. In addition, two nodes were on top of each other and also gave error.
I already modified them and it let me import the pattern from AI into Clo.
Thanks a lot for everything!

I just faced the same error message, I was trying to import branding/text I made in illustrator. For me the solution was not switch from fill to outline (no fill) in case anybody has the same problem. Cheers!
