Material (Fabric) names in OBJ and MTL when exporting from CLO and importing in 3DS Max
Hello there. I have been exporting OBJ and MTL files from CLO 4.1. The MTL files had a convention of adding the pattern pieces name and appending FRONT or BACK when exporting Thick. The fabric names were used in the MTL files.
After upgrading to 4.2 the MTL files are not exporting the material names as the fabric names are established in CLO. The MTL file has some random Material589954 names.
When importing into 3DS Max, for instance, we can't make sense of which material (fabric) goes with each pattern piece.
Any help understanding how to modify this in CLO?
This was in 4.1 when imported into 3DS Max
Now in 4.2

Hi Pablo,
Let me deliver this issue to our Dev team!
I'll get back to you as soon as I get an answer from them.

I usually choose for the back side another color inside the clo. Then, when importing obj, the filter is filtered by materials. The back side is imported by a separate mesh.

Hi guys!
As I shared this issue with our Dev team, they are already aware of the inconvenience of the users due to a matenial name of a mtl file. The problem is that there is no feature of changing the name of a material so that our Dev team is considering to make a feature of managing materials. Thanks for the comment, @vadsura!! :)Best, Lea.

Hi guys,
I brought a great news for this issue!
Our Developer has fixed this problem and it will be soon included in the future version of CLO. When exporting an obj/mtl file, a material will be exported with the same name even if it applied to other colorways.
Will let you know when the included version is released :)
Best, Lea.

Hello,
I'm new here, and without too much experience using CLO3D...
I'm looking for the option to change the Material names, and get that names in exported MTL file... but I don't find where can do it.
Is posible to change Material names?
Thanks
