does not render at night with the screen off
hi there, everytime I try to render and go to sleep, the clo3d is not rendering. I'm trying to render an animation and in 8hours only rendered 3frames from 74.
my pc is configured to turn off the screen in 5hours (but I'm doing it when I leave the room) and to never shutdown the computer, but today when I woke up I had a terrible surprise... hmmm 9hours of fake rendering. Until this moment I was rendering images at this resolution, and it worked almost 95% of the times.
my question is, am I doing somehing wrong? is there anyconfig that I'm missing?
edit: just asking, the fach that I'm using a wireless mouse can be the problem? I mean when the mouse is switching off may affect the grafic card performances? because it seams to work when I'm usig the mouse. I don't know maybe is crazy... I have a RTX3060 Ti

Hi livius, we are aware of that issue and working on it. For now you can try this: Change the sleeping/screen time from 5 hours to "never". This might fix the problem already.
If the problem still occurs, try out less heavy rendersettings. With your graphic card a noise threshold of 0,020 or 0,030 and max rendertime of 5 minutes should be enough. It can also help to save the project file and the render output on your local harddrive. In best case your system drive (desktop) or any other SSD.I hope this helps you :)

thank you so much for your answer, I will try out to change the noise threshold at 0,20 (changing render time to 5minutes it means that it will spend no more than 5 minutes per frame, right? not per animation.) and one last question can I turn off the screen manualy, or better not? even so I think that this is not the problem, yesterday I was rendering fine and when I went to the kitchen, the computer was'nt rendering all that thime (less than half an hour), when I came back and I touched the mouse the grapchic card fans started to work again, for that reason I think that it might be a wrong config with the graphic card... it may be put into power saving when the mouse is not used?

Hey livius, yes exactly, by changing the Render Time it always calculates it per frame. And yes, you can turn off the screen manually, that should not cause any problems ;) About your graphic card, it sounds very unlikely that it is only active while you are moving your mouse. In that case it might just have been a coincedence.
