how can i remove these extra segment points?
when i try to select a point along the line with lasso tool it doesnt get selected
how can i select multiple points and convert to curve?

Hi!
With the edit pattern tool (Z) you should be able to select any segment point, right click on it and convert to curve point. That should be also possible with the laso and with the chain selection tool, just try to just select points and not the whole segment between them.
