Zippers zipper fly and pattern piece layers
Hello guys,

I had forced the zipper flap to fold behind the zipper and everything seemed great. Since I've added the internal waistband the zipper fly is above my zipper when it really should be behind. I checked the sewing lines and they appear to be turned. The flap I am referring to is super imposed to the side on the seam where it attaches on to the pant seam.....but I can't seem to get the zipper to sew above the seam line of the flap and pant. The zipper is sewn on the same line of that flap.
Does this mean this is not allowed or something?
The only solution I can think of is to offset the flap line (which Id rather not have to do) and let the zipper keep that line it's on. I just feel like their would be a better, or faster way to fix this with layers but I really am not sure how.

Krant I see that the zipper tool can go past the seamline to the waistband. So it is possible. I myself am not a fan of the zipper tool. I rather use a strip of fabric sewn and then add a texture to simulate the zipper, or even go beyond that and model the zipper in an outside 3D software and import as a trim.
