fashion tech, PCB, components integration but also studs, chains and props integration
Deal All,
nice to be part of this community, I hope someone has some good suggestion to give me since I am trying to use clo3D to integrate some solid elements.
is there a way to sew on fabrics solid imported volumes and make them run in the simulation? I believe this function does not only appeal fashion tech enthusiast like me but also traditional fashion designer that want to attach solid props to their garments, especially accessories, like a buckle of a belt or some chain or studs piercing the fabrics.
please HELP ME!!! :-)
Thank you
Ema

Ema, the props (3D objects) can be imported into CLO, then they could be glued onto the pieces of fabrics (not sewn) and those objects can have weight, which will be affected by gravity pulling the fabrics to where they are attached to.

go it clear, thank you very much!

Pablo hey! is there a way to get notified if someone replies to posts? it doesn't seems to happen with me. I tried you suggestion and works well but also got intersecting fabrics and objects, how to avoid that? thank you

One thing is that the imported 3D objects have to have a the normals pointing in the right direction (outward) so the calculations related to collision with the fabric avoid as much as possible the intersection.
From what I see you can simply move the piece "out" of the fabric. Generally trims are not super stable, with movement they react somehow unpredictable.

Hey thank you for your answer, I think normals are automatically placed by 3d max. I can see it is something that works just with small stuff. Anyway I will try to make use of that command.
