CLO overheating on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5
I'm using a macbook pro with an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB graphics card plus 32 GB of RAM and an i9 processor. However, when I'm using the CLO software, my CPU usage frequently and randomly spikes to almost 100% and the fans go into overdrive. The Mac Activity monitor shows that CLO is the culprit and I've re-started, re-set PRAM etc and upgraded to the latest OS (Catalina 10.15.5) but the problem persists. Is this a known issue and is there going to be a fix please? Thanks.

cathro, why do you think that the fans go faster and that your CPU usage spikes is a bad thing? That is what those features are for in a mac. What would be bad is if your computer never used the CPU or the fans to maximum capacity, meaning you are not using your full potential.

I think the problem is solved. Simulation uses a huge amount of CPU and I hadn't toggled it off after draping, so it just kept working at full tilt.

Yes get used to using the CLO3D shortcut 'spacebar' shortcut to switch off the simulation. You can actually change these keyboard shortcuts to what ever you want in the user settings area.

Thanks for the tip ottoline - I'm just learning. I'll use that :)
