Flatten tool offset
Hi everyone. This is my first post.
I'm trying to get a pattern to match exactly the geometry of the avatar is being generated from. Or should I put it more precisely, I want to generate a surface B (pattern) from surface A (avatar) and have the two be coincident in space after the flatten tool is applied. Instead what I get is an offsetted or translated copy of it. I'm not sure whether is offset or a translation the transformation that is applied to the resulting surface, that would be question number 1. Question number 2 would be: How do I fix it? I already changed the avatar skin distance from 3 to 0, to 10 and 20, always before applying the tool. Nothing, not a change. I also tried decreasing particle distance with same bad luck☹️.
I modelled a 1m cube and imported it into CLO, applied the tool in one of its faces, exported the pattern and the cube as obj and measured the distance between both faces. It was really close to 3.3 mm.
I desperately need them to be coincident in space. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
