Under what situation that symmetrical pattern with sewing doesn't work?

After sewing in the 2D window, I selected all patterns, I right clicked my mouse and selected symmetrical pattern (with sewing), a pop up window showed up as below.
I don't know what patterns that cannot be symmetrized.

Anyone knows?

  Hi hanachiang, probably one of the pieces in your selection has already a symmetry applied.

  Did you use the new option unfold symmetric editing (with sewing)? If one of your pieces has this property you get that message when you try to symmetrizide patter with sewing.

  Anyway, try to mirror the pieces one by one and you can discover which one ( or ones) give you the problem and see how to solve it.

  You are right! One of the pieces in my selection already has a symmetry applied. Problem solved.
