How to import existing hardwears
-
We handbag designers often design using existing original hard wears, curved brand name.
to import these hardware to 3D window, do you recommend me to do 3D scan those and import them as OBJ file?
Thank you for your advice, Kazuyo

Hi Kazuno Nakano Aguilera, have you tried to create them with Fusion360? For sure the curved brand name can be created in that software and then export the objects as obj files.
I'm not an expert user of Fusion360 but I created some simple things and use then in Clo.Best.

Some things, fasteners can be made in Clo. Give not plenty of time what to read through a forum. You already all have read Help the information? There Are even videoinstructions in the Help.
Inscriptions on fasteners can be made as texture.https://support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000622607-How-to-make-a-metal-buckle-in-CLO

Hello danielemanassero and vadsura
Thank you for your suggestion, yes I do create simple hardware in CLO, and just started learning fusion360.
Most of handbag designer not create new hard wears because it costs fortune, we choose design from list of supplier stocks and buy amount we need.
For example this is my collection, first I found this closure hard wear and start design this bag shape.
So I imagine that it is possible to import obj file, 3D scan existing hard wear, it will be much easer than create it in CLO and Fusion360.
If it is not possible to do that, I should create it.
Thank you anyway for your time.
