Why are there dashed baselines and baselines that result from converting internal lines? They behave differently and don't make any sense to me.

The dashed baselines are amazing to construct something where the points have to align perfectly. Working with internal lines always result in a mess as the points have to be manually joined or merged (still not sure which one to use). So it's extremely frustrating to construct something precise. 

Then I started to use the dashed baselines which work very well do to something precise. But now I realise that I cannot ever move them which feels really moronic to be honest. I can only trace them as internal line, which creates a copy essentially. Then I can adjust them but I can never again turn them back into the dashed baselines. 

Instead I can only turn them into the normal baselines which once again have all the issues with merging and joining overlapping points which feels like a total waste of time. 

When you build software that allows people to construct patterns what's even the point of creating dashed lines they can never again move? And why would you have 2 different lines that you give the same color and call the same but that inherently are not the same. 

I feel like I reach a point where I ask myself why I spend time on this software.

Sorry for the rant but it feels very frustrating. Simplify this software please and give us tools to work efficiently.

  Hi sxdy,

  When baselines have a dashed appearance, they are locked and cannot be moved. To unlock them, right-click into the empty 2D space and select "Unlock All Baselines".

  

  Then, they can be moved just like the unlocked internal lines. If you wish to lock them back into place and thereby reassume the dashed appearance, right-click into the empty space again and you will find that the menu now says "Lock All Baselines".

  Baselines are created and loaded as locked by default. Only when you convert an internal line to a baseline, they come in unlocked automatically.

  Let us know if this clears things up or whether further clarifications are needed.
