Trace as Pattern with link does not work but leads to crash of the system, always!

Could you please open a ticket via the Contact Us page and attach a video of the issue occurring?

Please trust me, I do not lie when I say the system crashed.
Maybe missed a line or a dot. But in that case a notification instead of a total collapse would be appreciated.
Because it possibly leads to loosing one or two hours of work. And that we need to avoid...

Maybe try a form which is partly connected to the outer line of the main pattern piece. Like a hem facing or a front facing with buttonholes.

What is the "LINK" able to do anyhow?? That is what I wanted to get to know. Linking inner and outer layers which not have the same form necessary would be a great achievement.
Clone layer under is not necessarily the right solution.
