How to fix pointy darts in simulation?

Hi guys!

I am drafting a trouser block for a petite model and when I sew the darts together like this, the dart lifts up and make them pointy.

If you rotate the model, you can see from the side it just lifts up (like the first picture).

I don't know how to fix this. I handmade the darts instead of using the dart tool.

Should I make the dart .5 inches smaller lengthwise to be able to stop it from lifting up?

My dart is 1inch wide, 4inches long, and the dart legs are matching in length.

  Hi sygay,

  In this case, the dart looks as if it should be lengthened to remove excess fabric, rather than shortened. Just try it out - you can always hit CTRL + Z :)
