Issue Importing from AI

I keep getting the error message:

This is an unsupported file type. When saving the AI file, please check the option "Create PDF Compatible File

 

 I have selected the Create PDF Compatible file and continue to get that message. Is there something else I'm missing in the file formatting or the file creation?

  Dear Missnancyjean, does the image involve any open segments and lines, are you trying to import as a pattern? CLO needs a closed image boundary to recognize any pieces. If it seems all lines are closed, please double-check that the paths are joined on corners.
