How to use Washing_Texture provided in CLO effectively.
Hi everyone! I would like to share a quick tip on how to use washing textures provided in CLO Library. For those who may not know where the washing textures are, you can find them Library > Washing_Texture. Once you double click Washing_Texture, you will see about 9 textures.
To use them, please follow the step-by-step instructions below.
- Right click on the texture you would like to use and select Add as Graphic.
- Click on the 3D Garment where you want to add the washing effect and the Add Graphic window appears.
- Type in the desired Size of the graphic, or just hit OK.
- Then the Edit Graphic tool is automatically activated and you can scale, rotate, and move the graphic (and you can do this on both 2D and 3D windows)!
- After adjusting one side, I just copy and paste the graphic and flip it horizontally.
- Then, I lowered both graphics' Opacity which you can find in the Property Editor AFTER selecting the graphic.
And I can get a result like below! Easy as eating pancakes, right?!

This is so cool!!! zhanart, I especially like your 4th picture! so creative!
Did you use graphics to express knits instead of inserting texture to the fabric itself?

Hi, innovativehjhj !
I used my own, seamless texture, in PNG format0 -
Hi Erica, I'm running the Clo version 4.0104 ( r29681) The same I see in the zhanart screenshot but I haven't in the default library the washing _texture folder.
Any suggestion why?0 -
Hi, danielemanassero !
Pay attention, in the column where you have a library, there must be a download button, the first time you open the program.
Download, everything appears and enjoy)))1 -
@danielemanassero
Just like @zhanart mentioned, you should be able to download the textures through Library window. If you still cannot see them, please let me know!
Thanks :)
