Buttonhole is not showing up in the render

Try looking at the additional render (thickness) height setting for the pattern pieces and also in the fabric (shader) to make sure you do not have additional texture displacement applied to the quilted fabric. If so you may need to raise the 'z' dimension for the button hole to be greater than the quilted fabric so it renders.

Definitely the issue is that the jacket fabric has additional thickness.  However, the only way to change the z-offset of the buttonhole is to add a displacement map.  The buttonhole texture file works for that, but I had to find that in the temporary files, I didn't see it in an obvious location in the Library.  I tried a fabric with a 1mm displacement, and a buttonhole displacement of 1.5mm was sufficient.

I followed your advice to focus on the displacement and it totally makes sense to check all that was mentioned, and raise the 'z' dimension, but I ended up finding the texture file of the buttonhole and tested this first by adding it to the displacement map. It worked! Thank you both for your help!
