No - you need to use a human model and their standard avatars for automated sizing of the character.
CLO3D does not do character modelling for anything other than a bipeds as default.
If you have a dog and want to morph (interpolate) the human model to a non-biped character you might want to look into Marvelous Designer which does have that feature which uses a 'skin' suit over the new avatar character and allows a single size garment to be translated onto that new surface. However for CLO3D you would need to model a new garment (dog shaped clothing) exactly to a custom avatar shape you import as a object model with it's own rigging. And in such a case it's unlikely the human to dog bone structure will be recognized > therefore you default to using an object avatar with mesh cache to drive any animation of the surfaces, and model the garment to that dog character surface. Note both Marvelous Designer (MD) and CLO3D differ in the features of character (avatar) recognition so you may need to investigate which app is best. If you are pattern making for real world sample making then use CLO3D as it can generate 2D pattern packs with seam allowances, If you are doing CG for digital clothing then use MD.

Hello, we have some users creating clothes for pets. You can add a dog OBJ as an avatar, arrange your pattern pieces around the dog avatar, sew, and simulate.
Please note, it will not have joints to change poses or walk down a runway or Avatar Editor editing options to make the dog chubbier or thinner, as human avatars might get through Convert to Avatar. However, you can create bounding volumes and arrangement points for your imported OBJ, save it as an avatar and use it for further dog fashion projects. Please find a Guide on Avatar, including the creation of Bounding Volumes and Arrangement Point, here.
Kindest regards, CLO
