Issue with In-Seam Side Pockets
Hi everyone,
I'm struggling to get my in-seam side pockets rights (trousers) - this issue keeps occurring to me when inserting these kind of pockets, would be super grateful if anyone has an idea how to fix this:
I can't seem to get the pockets lie flat underneath the trouser fabric.
--> it keeps glitching and crumpling when I turn on simulation.
--> the pockets are create so they're sewn into the waistband on the top
--> I gave them very thin fabric (interlining)
--> PD is set down to 10
--> tried to play with layer order (set trouser front leg to 1 etc...)
Pls see screenshots too

Any ideas? Thank you!

Check your seam sewing angle is not making the fabric kick out on simulation. After you have set patterns to a layer order and run your 1st assembly simulation, you should also shift to CPU (best quality) and then also for a final assembly set all patterns back to layer 0 to run the final simulation.

If you are sewin to the waistband, the angle is ok at 180. What makes these pieces bloat is the Additional Thickness Collision which by default is 2.5 mm. Try reducing it to 0.5 mm on the pieces that are being layered on top. I do bring everything to 0.5 at the beginning to keep things flat. It doesn't need to be like that always, but for trousers you should use something like that.

Cool, thanks both ottoline and pablo.quintana
--> sewing angle // CPU simulation // Addtl Thickness Collision (I've not experiment enough with that)!
Will try all that out, thanks so much!0
