How to simulate accessories with annimation?
Hi there, I am trying to simulate my garment with a walking animation but to do this I have to un-strengthen my hat so it is shown in the actual colour. Once I un-strengthen and then simulate the garment the hat falls apart. Is there a way to freeze the garment and keep the original colour or can I export and then import it so there are not issues when simulating? Thanks!

Hi scendstore
You do not need to Unstrengthen the hat. When you Render an image Strengthen will not be visible. But Also you can hide Strengthen in the 3D window as well by R-Clicking in the 3D window > Select Show/Hide from the dropdown menu >Hide All or Hide Strengthen
You may also want to consider what material you are making your hat from. I do not know what style since you did not add images, but below are a few ideas
- You will want to use a Very Stiff Fabric (either Trim/Hardware or Full Grain Leather)
- You can also apply different strength bondings to the pattern pieces for added stiffness
- Apply Solidify in 3D. Similar to strengthen, but the pattern pieces will want to keep their current "molded" shape. So this can be good for big floppy hats

Hi there, thank you for your help. I have tried all of those options and unfortunately the hat keeps flying around when the avatar is walking. Maybe there is a way to pin it to the avatars head? I have pinned the hat at the back but that didn't help too much it seems. I also changed the fabric to leather, strengthened and solidified with no luck. Do you have any other solutions? Image attached for reference.

Thank you for adding the photo. Makes it much clearer!
You have a few different options.
- Register the Hat as an accessory (Hair) You can find a tutorial HERE. Should work well, but the Hat will be very solid like an OBJ
- Use Avatar Tape and attach to avatar. This is usually used more for Pant rises, but should work the same for hats if you place it carefully. You can find info about the Tool HERE
