Safety Helmet
How can you create/add a safety helmet when you are designing a Work-wear collection

viauniversity, you can buy pre-made 3D models in places like turbosquid.com or cgtrader.com and then import them as avatars to CLO.

I have downloaded a safety helmet at cgtrader.com and tried to import/add it as an avatar but it doesn´t work together with the catwalk. Is it because the software only works with things created in CLO when it comes to animation?

No - it's a YMCA problem > You Must Convert Asset into a head wear prop - like hair. Process > Select Avatar > CTRL+Alt+shift+T > Opens up the Avatar Accessory Maker (Accessories (*.acc) Modal). And drop on your custom hat model accessory as a hat (instead of hair). It's that easy.

Hi viauniversity. I believe you meant to thank ottoline about the YMCA video. I just didn't want to take any credit that is not mine.

Try selecting ALL in Avatar ID list, then make sure you hat is positioned on the avatars head when you create the collada file.
The hair has a position relative to the avatars head. Bone naming structure as that is how items get mapped to avatars (and move with them).
Hope that helps you fumble your way through it.
