How to make a continuous graphic over multiple patterns?
Hello Clo users, I am looking for a feature to place a graphic over multiple parts of a garment. In fact, this feature should split the graphic according to the shape of the pattern.
So the garment should look like having a seamless print.
Has anyone tried this before?
I'm new to Clo and would be grateful for any help.

hi rimmadesign, if use a grafich i have to duplicate the graphic for each pattern , as you already did in the picture, and then match them manually. You can do that in 2d or 3d window it doesn't matter.
A second option can be create a seamless of your graphics ( in photoshopor other graphic software) and use it as fabric texture.
In this case maybe you can overlay the graphics over a texture of a solid color to add more realism or just use one of the normals from clo library.
Keep in mind that in real life as in your case the graphics will never match perfectly because of the different inclination of the to shape.

Dear Daniele, thank you so much for your reply.
I have already tried all the techniques you mentioned! But my graphic never fits perfectly of course.
It seems like I need a solution for this inclination of the body shape to get a seamless result.
I was also thinking about the unwrapping feature like in blender. So when I project a graphic to the 3D garment and then make it unwrap into 2D. Hopefully, it will split the 3D graphic to 2D graphic. Just an idea of how it could work. I have only a few days of experience in clo 3D. Hope somebody can help.

Hi, you can export the pieces as objs open them in Blender and try to unwrap, positioning the texture as you need. and bake the texture.
I don't know what's your goal. As I said in my previous answear, in real life the only thing you can do is align the pieces maching the point you want , but the different inclination on the cut line
doesn't let you have a perfect match.
If you print the pieces you have more flexibility, you can draw the graphic following the shape, distorting it accordingly.
Daniele.
