Thickness colission change from 2.5 to 0.5 or 0 for these two details

The gap is caused by keeping the lace set to the WRONG sewing type. In addition you need to maybe switch off curvature for that jointed edge and switch off 3D seamline for a good joint.
You should most probably adjust all three edge properties settings to get a good result. See steps below. You can keep the collision gap at 2.5mm if you want that will still work (see in my example below) how that is still possible with a perfectly good joint.
Ensure you do not have the sewing line set incorrectly > it should not be on turned. > Set to 'custom angle' > 180 degrees (that is crucial).
Switch off curved side geometry for these two seam edges being joined seamlessly.
Zero out the 3D seamline effect, ensure your joint angle is set to 180 degrees (flat joint)
If you check all 3 settings you should end up with a good joint in all simulation situations.
In some cases you can go an extra step and merge pattern lace seams together, however that operation can play havoc with your assembly - so I would perhaps leave that out if you have many joints in a single lace.
