Simulating stitch with puncture holes

Such close-up stitches are best texturized in an external editor. For stitches there is a 3D tick that includes the normal map, but unfortunately it does not work with zig zag (width and length are not adjustable)

If you want to stay in the clo and do something like a needle puncture, you can use packering. If you lay the internal line next to it, apply packeting with the appropriate texture and certain settings that match the stitch settings, then you can get something similar. There is bad news. Such a normal map is not in the standard package. You have to do it yourself. Again in an external editor.

try this normal and packering. I share for free.

Thanks, Vad your answers are always very useful.
I tried to draw holes in the topstitch png and extract the normal from that. Then I saved it as puckering and applied it to the same topstitch line

    Below the result
