    Hi nati  , I think the easiest way is to make it using another software ( e.g. Fusion 360 ) then import as obj.

    Hi everyone, I am searching a way to import a chain (OBJ) but I had a problem cause it stays completely rigid, it doesn't fall and move freely as it would in real life, instead it looks like a sculpture.

    I need it for a bag design, so it should be attached to a D-ring and then fall freely.

    If you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate it a lot,

    Hello  b2552681 if you want to simulate follow what  vadsura suggested in his answer.
    You can try to import the obj as a garment and see what happen.

    I did some bag with a chain but I created the obj in Blender in the position I wanted in the final render
