Layers over padding

  Hi,

  I try to simulate a fine, transparent dress over a bodysuit with paddings. I tried with freezing, strengthening, setting different layers for the bodysuit parts and the dress, but the dress always goes under the bodysuit paddings. Somebody ideas how to do this?

  Do you mind sharing your project file? You can make an account on CLOset and share a link directly (https://www.clo-set.com)

  Then I can see if it's a layering issue or maybe one of the layers is just stuck in there and needs to be pulled out.

   

  If you don't want to share your file here, can you try the following steps one more time?

  1. Freeze only the bottom layer
  2. Change the top layer to Layer 1
  3. Simulate
  4. If the top layer is stuck you can change it back to Layer 0 and pull the parts that are stuck out with your cursor. Use the Select Mesh tool if big parts are stuck. 
  5. Once the top layer is settled, then you can unfreeze the bottom layer. Though, if the bottom layer isn't going to move again, you can just leave it frozen.

  In the properties of the patterns for the dress, select layer 1, pillows layer 0.
  If this does not help, use the set sublayer command.
