The optimal value of a particle distance. (PD)
What is the value of the PD most closely matches the physical properties of the tissue obtained after testing the samples.
If the PD is reduced sufficiently strongly, to values less than 5. the physical properties of the tissue change. The fabric becomes softer.
Default PD = 20.
What is the value of PD to choose the most suitable for the physical properties of the fabric that we tested the samples?
According to the developers?
Me productivity and speed of simulation does not interest. I have fast enough computer.
To me interestingly greatest similar conformity to physical properties of a fabric.
Thank you.

Dear vadsura,
Do you have your physical fabric digitized into CLO using our Fabric Kit? or are you just comparing two similar types of fabric? Depending on the situation, the answer can differ.
However, main idea is that you have to use particle distance 5 with Simulate (Complete Nonlinear) option to express fabric realistically. Please keep in mind that we always suggest you to lower the particle distance and apply Complete Nonlinear once all your garment construction is completely finished.

Dear Erica.
Unfortunately, I do not have a kit.
I use the fabric from the library and apply it to the product. I noticed that when I reduce the PD value the behavior changes, the tissue simulation. It's logical that the polygons can not bend, we regulate inter-polygonal bonds.
At small PD values, the tissue behaves differently.
I just wanted to know the basic meaning of the PD according to the developer. I understand that there are inaccuracies when we leave on a smaller or larger side.Thx.

Vadsura, you can find detailed information about particle distance in below image.
