Import ASTM Gerber Grainlines are not visible
Hello,
I have two questions regarding grainlines.
1. I have import a DXF-file ASTM Gerber. I want to see the programmed grainlines but it seems like if the are not imported. I cannot see the specific line, only when I click on "show grainlines" I see the CLO grainlines. Are these grainlines the programmed grainlines or are these grainlines depending on the position of specific pattern piece?
2. On small pattern pieces the grainline is not right in place when I want to print the pattern. I tried many things, but I cannot move the grainline on the pattern piece. How can I move the grainline so that it is visible when I am going to plot the pattern?
Thank you!

Hi josiquitzke,
The DXF should contain the saved grainline. If this is not the case, I have to ask around with colleagues with Gerber experience whether there's an export setting that they are aware of. But I am confused as your sentence sounds more as if grainlines are considered more as "drawn" markings in Gerber? Could you elaborate? Anything that is a construction line on the pattern piece would come in as a baseline in CLO.
Unfortunately, the grainlines cannot be dragged to another position or resized, but we have handed in this request.

thank you for your response. The grainlines are saved in the Gerber DXF-file, but they are not right shown in CLO. So I was wondering if I need to convert the grainlines in "drawn" lines to see them in the right position.
It would be great if the grainlines could be dragged to another position or resize. This would help a lot. Thank yo for handing in the request.

Hi josiquitzke
You can turn off the visual of grainlines in the 2D Vertical Toggle. Please see this tutorial video HERE from our youtube which goes over all of the 2D and 3D toggle options
