3 d render
Hello, I am a print/fashion designer. I want to drape my pattern with placement print and see where the print elements will realistically fall on the body of the avatar.
Will this app do this?

Yes! you can! that's actually how I discovered CLO years ago while searching visualizing easier ways doing sublimation :)

Hi Pinar,
As you may have been in a similar place to me when you started Clo I was wondering if you might have the answer to another question. I work in photoshop , I make my patterns in ps and save as psd's I then apply my print to the pattern ready for printing and save as jpg's.
I have all of my print files saved as psd. Ideally I would be able to import the preexisting print/pattern files into clo for draping on the avatar.
I have not found a tutorial that tells me how to do this.
I do not need to learn all about patternmaking in Clo right now I really just want to learn how to drape my preexisting files then learn more about patternmaking in Clo over time.
If you can help that would be great!!0 -
np! There are actually tutorials on Clo youtube on Graphic placements and fabric/ texturing. . You can check out those. But yeah takes time to learn actually how to do all those by yourself. I work in illustrator and Photoshop. I dont think it accepts psd files but you can place/ upload png, ai and jpg files as graphic or as textures.

Thanks again, just looking at ways to shorten my learning curve. I find it frustrating when I have specific problems but have to go watch and learn from different videos to get the full picture!!

I don't think you can upload psd files, you first need to convert them png, ai or jpegs. there are couple really good youtube CLO videos that just focuses on fabrics/materials/graphics that I think would really help you to get an idea how it works.
did you check this one before? applying print starts from min 11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFtPds-QAWk&list=PLqL8Ymi3Z68Dqra76a_j0Y_WCcD5WSq4J&index=19

Hi colinheaney definetly you can use both Ai and psd files.
Once they are uploaded to your Clo project, you can make change in the original files and if you save them with the same name and same position in your computer, back to Clo you just have to press F5 key to refresh the graphic and see the new graphic version.Daniele.
