Importing a pattern from AI: scale problem

Comments

Hi stevenzorrilla. Make sure your % is set to 100 and not 2540.

Hi I have the same problem! The setting is based on inches and my file is based on inches and the % is 100% but when I import it, the pattern gets 100 times bigger!

And what is worse is that the scale of it is so high that Clo crashes! and when I enter 1% it shrinks the pattern. When I put 100% it enlarges it perhaps by 100 times and then 3D model disappears and the 2D model you cannot zoom out because the pattern is HUGE.

I just dids ome calculations and realized that eventhough it is showing 100% scale but it enlarges my pattern by 2540%! same as the person above! There is something wrong with Clo. Can you advise why CLO does this scale automatically?

    Hi anooshehka,

For the person above, it actually said 2540%, so it appears to be a different issue as what is happening for you. What is telling though is that 1" = 2,54cm. Does the pattern import correctly when choosing cm or auto scale?

I am also facing the same issue as anooshehka. I have tried to reduce the scale percentage to 15% and it is still so large. At this point I am not sure what to do.

Hi CLO Designers, My AI file is in inches and I have setup CLO in inches as well. When I import it says inches. So I am not sure if the pattern is imported correctly. Would you mind sharing a mini video or screenshots of what you mean? Even though mine does not say 2540% and it gives the 100% ratio but it is automatically scaling the AI pattern by 2540%

    Hi ten_ten,

Can you see if the scale is correct when you choose "Auto" in this dropdown menu:

ten_ten CLO Designers  I can confirm that creating the pattern in Illustrator in inches and importing as "Auto Scale" is the correct workflow. IF you also import as Inches the size is incorrect.
