Very slow simulation on Mac

Hi, 

I have problem with extremely slow simulation on Mac. I am using 'normal default' preset for simulation. I set the particle distance to 20. I am not sure what might be the problem. I feel like before the update the simulation was better. It is impossible to work in clo at the moment because of it :(

  2.6 Ghz is pretty slow for a CPU clock speed, simulation performance on the CPU is directly proportional to clock speed, so unless your CPU has a turbo boost to a higher clock speed - yes it might be slow. Check to see if your chip has turbo boost and what that clock speed is, that should indicate if you can better performance out of the simulation on the CPU.
