bizarre mesh stretch when simulating
After drafting and sewing a pocket to my jacket, I hit simulate to attach it. Then, this large, abstract form appears and sucks my entire outfit to it. I've never experienced this kind of error before. Any ideas what's happening?

Hi parsonprof
What attaching the pocket did you use Superimpose before simulating? Superimpose allows items like pockets to move 99% of the way so that during simulation you get minimal collision like you see above.
You can find a video of this in action HERE

A good way to reduce collision or assembly performance issues is to use the arrange pattern piece close to the avatar or assembly garment (blue dot), this will cut down on potential assembly simulation errors associated with pattern placement. Also you may need to make sure you don't have the pattern flipped (normals) and that the collision offset is set to the default for the pattern piece. So maybe just run through a checklist for that pattern element.
