Digitize fabrics quickly and precisely with enhanced CLOFAB tools
Built to integrate seamlessly with the new CLO zFab Kit, our hardware-based fabric digitization system.
Open CLOFAB

Go to the Fabric tab in the Object Browser.

If you want to create a new fabric, click
button in the top-right corner.
- To edit an existing fabric, click
button next to the fabric and choose Map or Property.
Fabric Information
-
At the top of CLOFAB, enter the fabric name, supplier, and owner.
* All information is linked with the information entered in the Property Editor.
Map
Seamlessly generate maps with scanned or captured images.
Open and Crop

Click the
button to open your map images.
✨Tip: If the files follow the naming rule, PBR maps in the same folder will be automatically opened together.

Crop your fabric image to remove any background before tiling.

Drag the corners or edges of the crop box to keep only the fabric area and remove any unnecessary background before tiling.
- Press Enter or click
button to apply and move on to tiling.
Auto Tiling

Select the type of repeat pattern.
Pattern Type
Description
Plain/Irregular
Fabrics with a single solid color of fabrics with irregularly scattered patterns.
📝Note: This option analyzes the fabric using the normal map and only works when a normal map is included.
Repeat
Fabrics with evenly repeating patterns. -
Click and drag on cropped image to define a repeat section.
✨Tip: Auto Tiling works best when your selection includes about four repeats, providing the best balance between accuracy and speed.
→ The system automatically analyzes the selected area, displays the optimized repeat section as a grid, and previews the repeated result.
Manual Tiling
When you want to specify an area manually, switch to Manual Mode and adjust it directly.

In the Settings panel, uncheck the Tiling option.
Or click
Switch Mode button at the bottom right of the selected area.

Click and drag to define a repeat section.
You can refine it by dragging the corner or edge points to freely shape it into a polygon.

Click
Apply button at the bottom right of the selected section.
→ The repeat result is previewed.
Post-processing

If the tiled fabric looks uneven in brightness, adjust it with the Equalize option in the Adjustment panel.
Apply
- When the map is ready, click the Apply button to apply it to the fabric properties.
✨Tip: After applying the map, it will also appear in the physical property preview, allowing you to check both the map and the physical properties at the same time.
Physical Property
Simply enter your Fabric Type, Composition and Density to quickly create new accurate fabrics
Create

Click the Physical Property tab to switch.

Select a fabric type.
* You can quickly find a type by typing its first letter on your keyboard in the fabric type list.

Select the composition and enter the value (%).
* Basic refers to the primary composition used for the selected fabric type, while Additional refers to compositions that can be combined as extras.
→ The fabric is draped based on the entered values and previewed.
- You can check and adjust each physical property value directly in the Advanced Details at the bottom if needed.
✨Tip: If no map is applied to the fabric, you can apply a default map provided for each fabric type by clicking it. Click again to remove it.
Set Options

Click
Model Type button at the top left of the preview and set the preview shape to: Cylinder - Circle / Square, or Dummy - Cape.
- Click
Lock Camera button to lock the view adjusted.
Save Fabric
Save the created maps and physical properties as a fabric file.

Click the Save button at the bottom left of CLOFAB.

Set the options.
Option
Description
Preview Image
Select the image type to preview the fabric. By default, the fabric’s map image is applied, but you can also add your own image if needed. Save with Textures
Save the fabric file along with the map images. For PBR maps, only the existing maps can be selected and saved. -
Click OK and choose a folder to save the file.
