Easily Create your First Pattern within CLO, using either measurement points or your flat sketches.
Open

Click the 2D ▶ Pattern Drafter in the top menu.
- Choose a Pattern Type to start drafting your patterns.
Create Pattern

Set Measurement provide 3 different options to view and adjust pattern measurements.
Option Description General This will give you a complete list of the most commonly used Points of Measure for that style. Simple This will give you the most commonly used points of measure for simple editing of patterns. Custom This is automatically adjust to Custom when you select your own measurement list and customize to your preference.
1. Click
Setting button to view the full list of measurements.
2. Use the checkbox to show or hide items as needed.
3. Once setup is complete, click
Exit button to apply changes.

Enter your pattern measurement values.
Option
Description
Total
Certain Measurements include the Toptal option to input the full front and back circumference. Base
Certain measurements include dropdown options, as they are commonly taken from different areas of the pattern.
E.g.
- Total Length: High Point Shoulder, Or Center Front/ Back
- Across Front/ Back: 4", 5" or 6" from High Point Shoulder
- Across Waist: 4", 5" or 6" from Armhole
- Across Bust/ Chest: Armhole to Armhole or 1" from Armhole
- Bicep Width: Armhole to Armhole or 1" from ArmholeSymmetry
Set the front and back pattern to Symmetry or Half Symmetry Show All Measurement
View all inactive measurements in each section. - Click the
button.
When a Parametric Pattern is created to automatically create the POM from the parametric Patterns.
- Only the defined measurements are generated as 2D POMs and added to the POM Obejct Browser.
- Automatically generated POMs can only be selected with the Edit POM tool to check their length.
Edit Pattern
Patterns created with Pattern Drafter can be edited while retaining their original parameters.
in Pattern Drafter

Open the Pattern Drafter.
→ If a parametric pattern exists, select whether to create a new pattern or edit it.

Select the
button.
→ The pattern type is automatically detected.

Change the measurement values, then click the
button.
Or, clickbutton to generate a new parametric pattern.
with Edit POM tool

Click the
Edit POM tool in the 2D toolbar.

Click a POM within the parametric pattern and enter a value in the length field.
→ The parametric pattern updates based on the entered value while maintaining its parametric relationships, the same as editing in Pattern Drafter.
📝 Note: Editing a parametric pattern directly breaks its connection with Pattern Drafter. It is recommended to edit the pattern using Pattern Drafter or the Edit POM tool instead.
Add Grading

Click the
Add Grading in the Pattern Drafter.

Set up the size table for graded patterns, then click the OK.

Add
Add new sizes by clicking
Add button.
When a size is selected, clicking Add inserts a new size above the selected size.
Rename
Rename a size by double-clicking a size name. Delete
Delete a size by clicking a size and pressing the Delete key. → Size columns are added to the Measurement table.

Enter full measurement values for each size or specify grading increments between sizes.

Click the
button.
→ The pattern is graded based on the entered value.
✨Tip: Grading can be adjusted directly with the Edit Grading tool.
AI Pattern Drafter (Beta)
Using a Sketch CLO will Automatically generate measurements to create a drafted pattern for you.

Click AI Pattern Drafter (Beta) button on the top right of the Pattern Drafter.

Generate a background image to be composited by entering prompts or upload it directly.
Option Description Text Prompt
Select the garment type and write in your sketch idea. Make sure to add in as many descriptive words as possible. if you want to emphasize something place it in brackets.
✨ Writing Tips: Listing the desired words rather than long descriptive sentences can generate more effective results.Keyword Suggestions
Suggested keywords will appear as you type to help you complete your prompt. Maintain Prompt
Even if the same prompts are used, the AI Pattern image is created anew each time. Thus, clicking the Maintain Prompt button may update the prompts while preserving the existing results as much as possible. The results may differ from the existing ones depending on the addition or change of the prompts. Random

Clear anything that was written to restart. Image Click the Upload button to add any garment or pattern image. -
Click
button and an image will be generated for you to choose from.
This process can be replicated until you get the desired outcome. Your image history can be found on the right side of the window.
