This article explains how to solve login failures due to "Error Code: 400" and/or "Error Code: 10002".
Technical Background
Starting in March 2024, the CLO team has integrated the different accounts of users using CLO software, CLO-SET, and CONNECT into one, and the CLO software have changed the login via CLO-SET webpage instead of entering ID and password in the login window. This policy will be applied from CLO version 2024.0, and previously released CLO 7.x or 6.x versions will run by entering ID and password. After the account integration, if the previously-used-user-login-information and the newly-integrated-user-information do not match, or if old-user-information is stored in the web browser being used, the CLO software login will fail and an error message will be displayed.
Problem Situations
- Launched CLO, but get an error message instead of logging in.
- Successfully logged in to CLO-SET on a web browser, but get an error message.
Causes and Solutions
In case of security app blocks CLO's internet connection
- If an antivirus, firewall, or web monitoring program installed on your computer blocks the CLO software from communicating with the Internet, CLO login will fail.
- Change the Internet connection of CLO software to "Allow" in the detailed settings of your antivirus, firewall, or web monitoring program, and then run the CLO software again.
CLO software does not have sufficient file read and write permissions
- Refer to this web post to grant administrator rights to the CLO software and then run CLO again.
CLO-SET password error
- Refer to this web post to reset your CLO-SET password and then run CLO again.
Web browser security policy or web browser cache error
- Web browsers with strict security policies or specific web browsers may have problems accessing the CLO-SET webpage. In this case, try logging in to CLO-SET using the Chrome browser.
- You may be experiencing problems logging into CLO-SET due to an outdated web browser cache. In this case, clear your cache and try logging in again. This saved-search will help.
CLO software configuration error
- The internal configuration and settings of the CLO software may have been damaged during the CLO Live Update and install.
- Refer to this web post to completely uninstall the CLO software and fresh install it using the latest installer. Don't forget to back up your working files to a safe place before uninstalling CLO software.
