Custom OBJ as TOPSTITCH
Dear CLO Team,
I have seen this specification in a video but I can
not find it in CLO. Can you help me to find it ?
Many thanks and greetings

Hi designhamburg. That screen shot looks like it is an older version of CLO. If you are looking to create a custom Topstitch you can add Texture images. See below Screenshot for reference. Please let us know if you have any further questions

Dear CLO Team, dear Ottoline
with Texture in Basic Parameter it is not possible for me to create this 3D chain
structure, because I can't insert an OBJ. Is this tool only available in MD ?
Thanks a lot and best regards

You can insert a object (3D model) as trim. You can use a free program like blender and the new curve to mesh node to make any complex chain. I do that all the time for beads, zips and jewellery items.
Yes in MD you can add a 3D model as a stitch element, however in CLO3D they have the vray high end render engine so there is perhaps no need to create a 3D stitch model or go outside the CLO3D pipeline (unlike MD) as CLO3D is closely integrated with vray, and perhaps just the texture maps for the baked down 3D model are needed as that is generally an end point in terms of render elements anyway. If you need the actual 3D object as a model in CLO3D you can insert that as a separate object or as trim and attach it to a garment (glue).
