Simulation & general workflow extremely slow on powerful PC

    Hi ianavanaken ,

    I can see that you have a lot of patterns and quite a long skirt. The fact that the simulation is slow can come from different factors. In your case, it might be because your particle distance might be low on all your pattern pieces. It is always good to have a PD of around 20 when building your garment and only refining it later on for renders. Here you can find a video explaining the concept.

    I always find it funny that this is the common answer. He explained in detail that he got the particle distance at 20 and even using a default fabric. As you can see in the picture above. So what is the real solution for endless slowness?

    It may help if you ask more specific questions or show us what you are working on. Speed can be dozens of different things from computer settings to garment complexity. We cannot help or offer advice without knowing more from you first. 

    You may also find posting to our official CLO Discord helpful. Since we have many amazing Individual CLO users who can offer personal advice. Just remember the more information you offer, and the more specific the questions the more information you well get back :)

    The issue ianavanaken was having was they were running an illegal cracked version of CLO. 

    But if you would like we would instead recommend reaching out via the clo3d.com Contact Us page. Please send your computer credentials and an example file that you find being slow. Add as much information as possible to the ticket and our Dev team can take a deeper look to see if something could be improved

    Thank you, I try that than. Trying to solve that unpleasant CLO3d workflow on my own starts to become a main job.

    I see that you have made a ticket on our website. But again you MUST give our team more to work with then just saying you have good hardware. You need to tell us what hardware specs you do have. Include examples, be that files or screen recordings. Also you do not mention the Nvidea issue. The team that will answer you does not check Community Forums. But if you do not give them information they won't be able to assist you

    I know that. But see it as a conversation starter. I want that your support contacts me, and then we see how we address the problem together. I am fed up to dig around in the dark. Furthermore, I am not a computer specialist, I am a dressmaker.

    Our team is only trying to help you to receive help and a solution as quickly as possible. The more information you give the better our responses or follow questions will be. Without any information in the ticket our team will follow up asking exactly what was mentioned above for you to add so that they can assist. Also, out dev team is located in KR and not in the EU so you will not receive as fast responses as on here.

If a client comes to you requesting you design a custom dress I am sure you ask them lots of questions like what is the event? What style dress? what color? etc....
