Animation renders at 23seconds per frame regardless of machine...
machines tested:
- Intel i7 7700k, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3070
- AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x, 64GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1080
- Intel Xeon W-2245, 128GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3090
And always when rendering an animation in 4k it will take around 23 seconds per frame (+/- 0.5s)
PNG with transparency, NoiseThreshold 0.050, GPU (Cuda) + CPU Support
Why do I see absolutely no scaling with CPU and/or GPU? Where is the bottleneck? All systems running on an PCIe M.2 SSD
Tested with two totally different dresses and animations. When simulating or working with Clo I definitely see a great difference in performance, so it's only vray to scaling.
PS: on even older hardware the render time indeed increases rapidly. e.g. Ryzen 2600, 16GB, GTX 1060, SATA SSD -> 130s / frame
So it looks like a limitation hit be faster machines...But I can't see what limitation this might be

Hello,
thank you for your question. It seems like that the quality of a single frame in your case is low, since a frame renders only in 23s. This time includes many actions and rendering time is just one of them. It means, that the actual rendering time pro frame is super short and using a stronger machine makes it a bit shorter than super short, so it is still super short. To see the difference in rendering time between different machines, you would need to change settings to high quality (more pixels, less noise).
Kindest regards, CLO

azehden Had the same feeling yesterday comparing my i7 12k + 3070Ti with an i9 + Titan RTX at university
