CLO glitch
Hi
I currently use a dell
GPU NVIDIA GTX 960 Geforce
Intel core i7
RAM ddr4 16 GB
Window 10 64 bit
256 SSD + 1 tb HDD
However, i notice that the app primarily runs and simulates through the CPU and not through the NVIDIA graphics card. Also, when I change the render properties in the render window from CPU to GPU (CUDA) the software either freezes or shows a blank, non-responsive render window.
I have even changed my system's graphics performance settings to allow the CLO software run through the GPU but when i check the task manager for process and performance logs, the GPU still remains idle while the CPU is overworked to almost 100%.
How can I make the software run through the GPU by default rather than CPU for better performance.
I'd appreciate any assistance as this is affecting efficiency and speed of work. Thanks

Hi there. CLO using the CPU to simulate is expected behavior. Unless you specifically select GPU simulation. GPU simulation is faster but still glitchy. I don't use it for final simulation stages. Most likely only when I have a low particle distance already without folds and I need to fix something quick. Otherwise I won't recommend it as your to-go option.
Your GPU not running at full speed is normal. Check these posts:

pablo.quintana. thanks for your response. the challenge now is that the process is horribly slow even for the most basic simulation not to talk of animation. I notice it even got worse after i updated to CLO 6.0
I'm basically just looking for ways to make the whole design process faster.
thanks.
